ANTHUSIA panels at ASA
Online panels at African Studies Association
This year’s Annual Meeting of the African Studies Association in the US was held on online in November, and there was a good presence from the ANTHUSIA-project in a four-part panel on the Geopoetics of care and repair in the postcolony. The panels were organized by Anthusiasts Charline Kopf and Lotte Meinert, together with Adeline Masquelier from Tulane University. 15 papers were presented, including 8 papers from ANTHUSIA ESRs and supervisors. The conversations included questions concerning material practices of repair and care, relations of care between governments and their citizens, the politics of health care provision, and repair and relations through digital technologies and electronics.
