Between 21st and 26th of February 2022 six ANTHUSIA PhD-students gathered in Edinburgh for an urban writing retreat hosted by the Centre of African Studies. Every day the group came together at the iconic Old College built in the late 18th-century for focused writing sessions. Yoga and walks through Edinburgh’s New Town and to Arthur’s Seat helped the group to relax from intense writing. Visits to some of Edinburgh’s legendary public houses and fine eateries were a great opportunity to reconnect at a social level.
