The research focus on the Potential and vulnerabilities in Maputo (capital of Mozambique) Ring Road resettlement areas, and aims to explore the socio-economic and political effects of large-scale national infrastructure projects through a study of the impact of the Ring Road on bordering communities and the response of municipal and state governance to the growth of these areas. In particular, focus on how differently positioned agents seek to safeguard, stabilise or potentially challenge localized forms of human security in and around this infrastructure.
